About LaVone Arthur
LaVone Arthur is Chief Integration Officer at Baylor Scott & White Health where she is responsible for coordination of activities related to the integration of Baylor Health Care System and Scott & White Healthcare, including providing project leadership and direction in developing and executing post-merger integration strategies. She is also Senior Vice President, Business Development where she coordinates all aspects of new business transactions and joint venture arrangements. She began her career at Baylor in 1984 as a Management Engineer and quickly moved into Finance, achieving progressingly more responsibility over the last 30 years.
Ms. Arthur is a Fellow and former national Vice-Chair of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and an advanced member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). She is past chair of the North Texas Healthcare Information & Quality Collaborative (NTHIQC), an advisory council to the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation on issues related to regional data assets, quality and patient safety. In addition, she is actively involved in community service, serving as Governor, District Nine (state of Texas), Altrusa International, Inc. from 2011-2013, Trustee of the Altrusa International of Downtown Dallas Foundation from 2013-2016, and member of the Executive Leadership Team for the 2015 March of Dimes March for Babies.
Ms. Arthur received the Dallas Business Journal 2014 Women in Business Award, and was named to the Dallas Business Journal 2014 Who’s Who in Healthcare.
Ms. Arthur has a B.S., Health Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an M.B.A., Health Services Management from the University of Dallas.
