About Scott Peek
Scott Peek is the senior vice president of joint ventures for Baylor Scott & White Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in Texas. The integrated delivery network includes 47,000employees, 50 hospitals, 7,500 affiliated physicians, more than 1,000 access points, Scott and White Health Plan, Baylor Scott & White Research Institute and one of the nation’s largest accountable care organizations, Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance.
In his role, Peek is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of BSWH joint ventures and expanding access to a variety of value-based care models. He partners with joint venture leaders to integrate strategic planning, advance safety and quality efforts and drive performance improvement efforts.
Peek began his healthcare career as an Administrative Fellow at Baylor Scott & White Health. Among previous roles, he has served as chief operating officer of the 824-bed Baylor University Medical Center and was the first president of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – McKinney.
A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Peek previously served as board chair of the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council and on the board of HOSPAC, a subsidiary of the Texas Hospital Association. Peek remains an active part of his community, having served as the board chair for the McKinney Chamber of Commerce and the Committee Chair for Young Life in McKinney.
Among the honors he has received, Peek was named the Young Health Care Executive of the Year by the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council. He holds a master’s of science degree in healthcare administration and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
