Baylor Rehab restored my painting ability after my stroke.
If you met Martha Dahlberg today, you wouldn’t suspect she had suffered a stroke. "My speech was slurred, one foot was dragging, and I had no feeling in the fingers of one hand," she explains. That was before the Baylor Rehab team went to work. "When they learned I was an artist, they gave me paints and brushes as therapy tools," says Martha. "They tailored my rehab to me." After both inpatient and outpatient rehab, Martha resumed painting, as well as playing piano and singing in the choir. "I’m at least 90 percent back," she says, "thanks to Baylor Rehab."
