Animal Assisted Therapy
We love our animals at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation! It’s not uncommon to see our four-legged friends stopping by from time to time. They provide emotional support and sometimes they get in on the action. We provide animal-assisted therapy at a number of our inpatient locations. The animals and facilities vary from day-to-day, but they’re always sure to put a smile on the faces of our patients.
Canine Companions for Independence
We work closely with Canine Companions for Independence to help place service dogs with patients when appropriate. We also have a full-time facility dog named Karmen who works directly with patients at our Grapevine Lancaster outpatient clinic.
