Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation – Outpatient Therapy at The Star is located inside the Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research building on The Star campus in Frisco. This clinic offers a wide variety of outpatient services for injured athletes and weekend warriors. Our highly-skilled therapists include doctors of physical therapy, board-certified sports specialists and certified hand therapists. Your treatment is designed to optimize your recovery. Inside the Sports Therapy & Research Building
Outpatient Rehabilitation | Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation will offer a wide variety of outpatient rehabilitation therapy services for injured athletes including physical therapy and occupational therapy. Services will be provided by licensed therapists and tailored for orthopedic post-operative cases, musculoskeletal injuries and other sports medicine/rehabilitation for injured athletes.
Sports Performance Center | Through the sports performance program, athletes and non-athletes will be able to monitor, understand and improve overall performance. Among the pioneering technologies offered at the facility will be Fusionetics, an evidence-based platform to help optimize athletic performance, reduce injuries and speed recovery.
Urgent Care Center | An urgent care center will provide access to care for non-emergent injuries and illnesses. It will serve as a first line of triage for sports-related injuries.
Sports Concussion Center |The Sports Concussion Center will offer a multidisciplinary team approach to the assessment and individualized treatment of sport-related concussions in athletes of all ages.
Research | The facility also will incorporate research into concussion prevention and clinical recovery, sports performance science, injury prevention and corrective care, as well as athlete recovery, hydration, sleep, nutrition, and regeneration/readiness to train.
Imaging Center | The Imaging Center will serve all patients, including Dallas Cowboys football players, with an additional local outreach program planned for Frisco. Working in collaboration with General Electric (GE), it will feature some of the world's most-advanced MRIs and become part of the GE-NFL Head Health Initiative.
Surgery Center | Focused on orthopedic surgeries for sports injuries, the surgery center will feature six operating rooms, eight pre-op beds and 10 recovery beds. Staffed by Baylor Scott & White employees and physicians on the medical staff, the center offers the quality for which Baylor Scott & White is known, combined with the convenience of being on campus with other associated services such as pharmacy and after-surgery recovery and rehabilitation.
Pharmacy | Baylor Scott & White Pharmacy will be solely dedicated to the needs of Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research patients and clinicians. Comprehensive services including pharmacy compounding, will be offered when the facility opens in April 2018.
