Brenda Castillo, M.D.

Staff Physiatrist

 

Dr. Castillo specializes in general rehabilitation. 

Dr. Brenda Castillo is a staff physiatrist at Baylor Scott and White Institute for Rehabilitation (BIR) and covers the Dallas and Frisco campuses. Board certified both in physical medicine and rehabilitation and sports medicine, she treats individuals with a wide array of medical diagnosis: stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputees, medically complex and post op orthopedic patients.

Dr. Castillo earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez and completed her doctorate in Ponce Health Sciences University. She completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency in San Juan VA Medical Center and her sports medicine fellowship at the University of Puerto Rico-San Juan. Dr. Castillo joined BSWIR in 2021.

In addition to her professional interests and activities, Dr. Castillo enjoys hiking with her dog, baking, traveling, spending time with family/friends and skiing.
