Dr. Castillo specializes in general rehabilitation.
Dr. Brenda Castillo is a staff physiatrist at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Dallas and Frisco. Board certified both in physical medicine and rehabilitation and sports medicine, she treats individuals with a wide array of medical diagnoses: stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputees, medically complex and post-op orthopedic patients.
Dr. Castillo earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez and completed her doctorate in Ponce Health Sciences University. She completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency in San Juan VA Medical Center and her sports medicine fellowship at the University of Puerto Rico-San Juan. Dr. Castillo joined Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in 2021.
In addition to her professional interests and activities, Dr. Castillo enjoys hiking with her dog, baking, traveling, spending time with family/friends and skiing.
