Sridevi Mukkamala, M.D.

Dr. Mukkamala specializes in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, spasticity management, brain injury rehabilitation and electrodiagnosis.Dr. Sridevi Mukkamala is a physiatrist for outpatient services at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation. She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, spinal cord injury medicine, brain injury medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine. She focuses on the continuum of care for individuals with brain injury, spinal cord injury and neurologic injuries like stroke and spasticity management including botulinum toxin injections.
Dr. Mukkamala received her medical degree from Andhra Medical College in India and completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Metro Health Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University Program in Ohio. She did a fellowship in spinal cord injury medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin/VA program and worked in Rochester, New York, prior to joining Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in 2010.
Dr. Mukkamala has served several roles at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation including director of outpatient services at and director of inpatient rehabilitation at Baylor Scott & White Grapevine while also maintaining a robust outpatient/clinic practice. She helped in plan the opening of the inpatient rehabilitation unit. She has over 20 years experience in outpatient and inpatient rehabilitation as well as consultative rehabilitation services with particular emphasis on neuro rehabilitation and spasticity management, including botulinum toxin injections, as well as long-term follow-up of discharged inpatients.
